A Classic Indianapolis Wedding with Downtown Views
Adrianne and Dontae’s wedding brought together two very different Indianapolis settings, starting high above downtown and ending inside one of the city’s most recognizable historic spaces.
The day began at the InterContinental Indianapolis, where Adrianne got ready before the ceremony. The hotel’s bright interiors and downtown views created a clean backdrop for portraits, including a black-and-white moment of the couple framed against the Indianapolis skyline.
From there, the look shifted for the ceremony and reception. Adrianne and Dontae kept the palette to white, black, and warm gold. The ceremony centered on the venue’s stage, with large white floral arrangements lining the aisle and a custom monogram projected behind them.
After the ceremony, the same space opened into the reception. White florals continued throughout the tables, elevated on gold stands and mixed with smaller arrangements and candlelight. A long head table anchored the room, while the venue’s balconies, arches and lights added warmth around it.
The scale of the space really came through once guests filled the room. From the candlelit tables below to the string lights wrapping the upper level, the reception had a completely different feel from the bright downtown setting where the day began.
Stacy Able Photography documented that shift throughout the day, moving from the light-filled interiors of the InterContinental to the warmer tones of the ceremony and reception.
