Tamara and Shawn’s wedding day was years in the making. After originally getting married during the COVID pandemic, they never had the opportunity to celebrate with the big wedding they had always envisioned. This day was their chance to finally bring everyone they love together and experience the celebration they had been waiting for.
For Tamara, one of the best parts of the day was feeling surrounded by love from beginning to end. The morning started with all of their children getting ready alongside them, making those first moments of the day even more special.
When Tamara saw the ceremony space for the first time, she was amazed. What started as a simple conference room had been transformed into something beyond what she imagined. A design team from Miami flew in the décor and created a room filled entirely with white details, flowers, and elegance.
At the front of the room stood a beautiful white altar with tall pillars covered in real flowers that flowed down from each one. The aisle was made of glass with white roses displayed underneath, creating the perfect walkway toward the moment Tamara and Shawn had waited so long to share.
Every detail came together in a way that felt personal, romantic, and completely them.
Special Moments With Family
Some of the most memorable parts of the celebration happened before the ceremony even began.
The night of the rehearsal, Tamara’s bridesmaids surprised her with a gift she will always cherish. Each bridesmaid gave her a charm that represented how they saw her, along with a special tribute honoring her father, who had passed away just six months before the wedding.
It was a reminder of the love surrounding her and the important people who were part of the day, both present and remembered.
When it was time for the ceremony, Tamara walked down the aisle with her brother and grandson by her side. As she made her entrance, Kenny Lattimore surprised everyone by coming out to personally sing her down the aisle.
At the end of that walk was the moment she had been waiting for: seeing Shawn standing there ready to celebrate the love they had built together.
Rings by Barrington Jewels
Among the details chosen for their wedding day, Tamara and Shawn’s rings by Barrington Jewels held a special place.
Tamara’s engagement ring had a story of its own long before this celebration. Originally designed with a cluster setting instead of one large center stone, the ring was transformed when Tamara fell in love with a stunning 4.67CT cushion cut diamond. Barrington Jewels replaced the original cluster with the cushion cut stone, creating the beautiful centerpiece.
To complete the design, two additional contour diamond bands were soldered to her ring, one on each side. The finished piece brings together an assortment of princess cut, baguette, and round brilliant diamonds, making it a ring full of detail, meaning, and history.
Just like their wedding day, their rings represent the beauty of bringing different moments together: their past, their family, their commitment, and the life they continue building.
Beautifully reimagined by Barrington Jewels, these pieces will always take Tamara and Shawn back to this unforgettable celebration and everything it represented.
A Reception to Remember
The reception continued the magic of the day. Guests walked into a room filled with beautiful trees placed throughout the tables and even an aerialist performing above the celebration.
For their first dance, Kenny Lattimore sang once again as Tamara and Shawn shared a moment they will never forget.
After all of the planning and dreaming, what mattered most to Tamara was something simple: seeing the smile on her husband’s face.
Holding Shawn’s hands, slow dancing together, and finally getting to enjoy everything they worked so hard to create was the perfect ending to a day filled with love.
