Vows That Wow — Adena & Nevin
The Wedding Day
Some weddings are beautiful. Others make you wish you had been on the guest list. Adena + Nevin’s celebration was definitely the second kind.
Their wedding weekend began with a night full of color, music, dancing, and traditions close to their hearts. The celebrations started with the Madhuram Veppu, a sweeting ceremony where close family members blessed the couple and the start of their wedding festivities. Bright pinks, oranges, and reds filled the space as family and friends gathered to celebrate before the wedding day even arrived. Between the live performances, fashion, and energy, it was clear this weekend was about so much more than saying “I do.”
On Saturday, Adena + Nevin honored their South Indian Christian traditions during their wedding ceremony, including the placement of the Thali, a pendant created with threads from the bride’s traditional sari representing their faith, families, and the community supporting them. The ceremony also included the Manthrakodi, where the groom places the traditional bridal sari on the bride’s head as a symbol of his commitment to care for her.
Bringing a multi-day event together takes a team that understands both the big picture and the smallest moments. Blue Llama Events handled the planning, creating a weekend where each celebration had its own look and feel. Adena shared that planner Jean with Blue Llama Events understood her vision from the beginning and helped make sure every vendor was working toward bringing that vision together. The pre-wedding festivities were full of vibrant pops of color and movement, while the wedding day shifted into a romantic setting with soft florals and candlelight.
The florals and design by Satin & Stems played a huge part in transforming each space. From colorful hanging installations and statement designs during the celebrations to the ceremony florals and reception blooms, every area had a moment worth stopping for.
Ace Party Rental helped create the settings guests experienced throughout the weekend, from the draping and stage for the pre-wedding celebration to the dance floor, lounge furniture, and custom bars that completed the cocktail hour and reception spaces.
Every laugh, dance, and celebration was captured on film by Camden Claire Films, preserving all the energy and emotion that made Adena + Nevin’s wedding weekend so special.
Guests were welcomed into a reception glowing with chandeliers, candlelight, and tables surrounded by beautiful floral details. After dinner, the room quickly turned into the kind of celebration everyone hopes for with music, dancing, and a dance floor that stayed full.
Adena + Nevin also made transportation part of the experience with Antique Limousine of Indianapolis. Their classic vehicles added a timeless touch while helping the couple move throughout the day with ease.
The weekend ended with a cold spark send-off surrounded by family and friends, closing out a celebration that was full of color, tradition, and moments their guests won’t forget.
Adena + Nevin’s wedding is a reminder that the best celebrations are not just about how everything looks. They are about the people, traditions, and memories created along the way.
Their Favorite Moment
For Adena + Nevin, one of the moments they will always remember came right after they officially became husband and wife. “Our exit out of the church. It was such an amazing feeling knowing that we were married,” Adena shared. “Everyone was so excited and then we got to look around and see every single person we love in one place.”
