The Wedding Day

Lesley and Curtis’s wedding day was more than just beautiful—it was intentional, heartfelt, and full of meaning. Thoughtfully planned with personalized touches and rich cultural traditions, their celebration honored who they are, where they come from, and the life they’re building together.

Throughout the planning process, they stayed focused on what mattered most. “One thing I learned from planning our wedding was to prioritize and fill the day with unique experiences and customizations that reflect the bride and groom,” Lesley shared. “It’s important not to get caught up in temporary trends, because those change. The memories you create will last for years to come.”

That spirit of intentionality carried into every part of the day, including Lesley’s three bridal looks. She wore a timeless strapless ballgown for the ceremony, changed into a floral gown for the reception, and ended the night in a playful fringed mini dress—each style perfectly capturing the joy of every moment.

The ceremony was rich with meaningful traditions, including the wedding lasso—a large rosary placed around the couple to symbolize their unity—and Las Arras, the passing of 13 gold coins from groom to bride, representing commitment and future abundance. During the reception, vibrant traditional Mexican streamers and a menu featuring favorites like ceviche and sangria honored meaningful Hispanic traditions and brought a festive, personal touch to the day.

Their photographer played an important role in capturing the day, working with them from their engagement session in Charleston, South Carolina, all the way to their final wedding send-off. Her attention to detail and gift for capturing candid moments helped create a collection of memories they’ll treasure for years to come.

And when it was time to say goodbye, Lesley and Curtis made a statement—riding off in a vintage Corvette from Antique Limousine, the perfect classic touch to end their unforgettable day.

Their Favorite Moment

Curtis’s favorite moment came during their first look. “She simply looked angelic,” he said. “That moment took my breath away.”

For Lesley, the walk down the aisle with her father while a string trio played “Canon in D” was unforgettable. Later in the evening, one of the most cherished moments was candidly dancing with her husband as her grandfather played the piano—a touching callback to many beloved family memories and a moment she’ll never forget.
