This month, we’re featuring Claire & Luke’s chic, garden-inspired celebration at the Lucas Estate. When Claire and Luke envisioned their wedding day, they dreamed of something timeless—a celebration that felt both elegant and intimate, surrounded by the people they love most. On a perfect autumn day at Lucas Estate, their vision came to life in the most beautiful way.
The Wedding Celebration
Set against Lucas Estate’s stunning gardens and grand estate, Claire and Luke’s wedding was a masterclass in classic elegance. The aesthetic was refined yet romantic: crisp white florals, greenery, and touches of gold that caught the late afternoon light. Claire’s gown—a modern take on timeless bridal style with delicate sheer sleeves—was everything she’d dreamed of. “Getting to show my dad, my girls, and Luke the dress of my dreams was such a special moment,” Claire shares.
The floral design by Duet Floral brought the couple’s vision to life with beautiful sophistication. Katherine from Duet Floral shares their approach: “For the flowers at Claire and Luke’s wedding, we aimed to create designs that complemented the elegant style of the venue. We used many classic blooms, such as lilies, calla lilies, and roses, while also incorporating a modern touch with green hydrangeas and hanging amaranthus. The final result was a white-and-green floral palette that felt both intentional and contemporary. From the all-calla bouquet to the rose lilies for the bridesmaids and centerpieces, each arrangement was sleek, modern, and reflective of their style.”
The reception brought another favorite moment—dinner at a grand king’s table where Claire and Luke sat surrounded by their entire bridal party. “Being able to sit with all of our best friends for dinner was so special,” Claire reflects. “It felt like we were all together celebrating, not separated at different tables.”
Before the dancing began, the evening paused for speeches that had everyone reaching for tissues. Claire’s father, Scott, welcomed guests with warmth and grace. Luke’s uncle, also named Scott, offered a beautiful prayer before dinner was served. Then Luke’s best man, Jake, and Claire’s maid of honor, Molly, delivered touching tributes that perfectly captured the couple’s love story. “The speeches were incredible,” Claire says. “They were so thoughtful and sweet—they really set the tone before we kicked off the party.”
A Favorite Moment
While every detail was carefully considered, it was the unexpected surprises that made the day truly unforgettable. Luke’s father orchestrated one of the day’s biggest: a vintage white Rolls-Royce to whisk the newlyweds away to The Hotel Carmichael. “We had no idea!” Claire laughs. “It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our exit feel like something out of a movie.”
At its heart, Claire and Luke’s wedding was about connection. “Getting to be with family and friends all day” topped Claire’s list of favorite memories, and that sense of togetherness was felt in every moment—from the joyful ceremony to the candlelit reception under the stars.
As the evening drew to a close and the couple drove away in their surprise vintage Rolls-Royce, it was clear: this wasn’t just a beautiful wedding. It was a day filled with genuine moments, thoughtful surprises, and the kind of love that brings everyone together.
