Found at The Frock: The Blue Floral Dress of Our Dreams

A “Something Blue” That Steals the Show

We’ve seen a lot of wedding gowns, but Lauren’s choice for her big day from The Frock stopped us in our tracks for a different reason.

Yes, the blue floral print is stunning. Yes, the oversized bow is a dream. But when Lauren told us about her experience in this Tara LaTour gown, she pointed out the one feature every bride actually wants:

“I received so many compliments on my dress, and my husband said we need to find another excuse for me to wear it again. Everyone was impressed that the pockets were big enough for champagne bottles… I still get messages from people telling me it was the prettiest they’ve ever seen.”

The Story Behind the Style

Madison Bowman, owner of The Frock, remembers exactly how this “unexpected” match came to be:

“In the best way—the Francis gown is so special and can be a very unexpected choice for brides! Lauren visited The Frock expecting to choose a more traditional white wedding dress, but once she saw the stunning blue, floral work of art in our window, she knew she had to at least try it on. And once you try on a gown like Francis, it is really hard not to fall in love!

Lauren had to reimagine herself on her wedding day wearing blue instead of white, but her entire entourage was so supportive and just as in love with the Francis gown as she was! I think it is so fun that a bride’s gown gets to be her ‘something blue.'”

It’s a great reminder that your wedding dress should actually be fun to wear. The team at The Frock has a real talent for finding these kinds of pieces—gowns that look like high fashion but feel like you.

If you’re looking for something that isn’t the standard bridal look (and maybe something that can hold a bottle of bubbly), you should probably pay them a visit.
