Chelsea and Jake’s wedding was full of color, with peach, coral, and blue woven through their florals, cake, and reception design. A four-tier statement cake from Cake Me Happy, finished with cascading blooms, became one of the standout details of the day.

“Their cake was very tasteful, both in flavor and design, and our inspiration came directly from their vision,” shared Amy of Cake Me Happy. “They chose a marble cake with dark chocolate ganache for two of their tiers, and our most popular flavor combination, vanilla with raspberry filling, for the other two. Our favorite part was creating different buttercream textures for each tier, which added gorgeous layers of dimension to the aesthetic of the cake.”

But when they think back on their wedding, it’s not the décor that comes first — it’s the intentional moments they shared together.

“Our favorite wedding day memories were those special moments shared between just the two of us,” they said. “The first was our first look. All day-of anxieties immediately dissipated the moment we locked eyes. We knew the rest of the day would be smooth sailing from that moment forward.”

Their first look allowed time for portraits before the ceremony, creating space to slow down and enjoy the start of the day together.

Right after saying “I do,” they stepped away to share a private cocktail in the bridal suite.

“We cannot encourage enough including these kind of intimate moments in your big day, just the two of you.”

The celebration continued with live music from Bluewater Kings Band, closing the night with dancing and time spent with the people they love most.

For Chelsea and Jake, the day was about presence — making room for the moments that mattered and remembering to enjoy them together.
