If you ask Carly and Timothy about the road to “i do,” they’ll be the first to give you a reality check: “It’s more work than you could ever imagine beforehand!” But standing in the middle of the Indianapolis Central Library, surrounded by towering marble and glowing candlelight, that hard work transformed into a magical night. For this couple, the stress of planning surely melted away, realizing their main goal had been met: “celebrating with our family and friends!”
Working with Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events, the couple curated a day straight from their dreams. Every detail was a nod to classic romance, executed with a level of precision that made the massive undertaking look effortless.
The Style & Setting
The weekend kicked off with a sophisticated flair at the InterContinental Indianapolis, which served as the home base for accommodations and the rooftop rehearsal after-party at Astrea. Throughout the celebration, Antique Limousine of Indianapolis was on hand to manage the transportation needs, ensuring everything moved according to plan.
On the wedding day, the bridal party coordinated in elegance. The bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride wore perfectly tailored gowns from Bella Bridesmaids Indianapolis, choosing tones that mirrored the soft, ethereal vibe of the floral design.
The Design
The Central Library is a statement piece on its own, but Mon Amie Events elevated it into a lush indoor garden. The palette was crisp whites, creamy ivories, and rich, organic greens.
Ace Party Rentals played a major role in the evening’s flow, providing the foundational decor and rentals that defined the space. Most notably, they handled the custom indoor and outdoor bar setups, ensuring that guests always had a cocktail within reach.
Moments Worth Keeping
While the architecture was breathtaking, the real beauty was in the movement of the day. Megan Noll Photography captured the quiet, stolen glances between Carly and Timothy, as well as the scale of their reception. For the guests, the fun was amplified by Indy Photo Fun, whose photo booth stayed busy as friends toasted to the newlyweds.
Carly and Timothy’s wedding proved that while the “work” of a wedding is immense, the result—a night of joy with the people you love—is the best memory.
