Madelynn and Peter chose the InterContinental for their wedding weekend stay, and it quickly became the place where everything came together. It’s where they checked in with family, unpacked all the wedding pieces, and got ready on the big day. Madelynn got dressed at the hotel, with her gown and details photographed there, while Peter got ready there as well. Having everyone in one place kept the day simple and gave their photos a clean, modern setting from the very beginning.
Their ceremony space was bright and open, with big windows and flowers framing the aisle. For Madelynn, walking in with both of her parents is the moment that stands out most. She shared, “Walking down the aisle with my mom and dad, looking at Peter against the big windows at the Columbia Club, where I grew up going as a child with my family. It was such a surreal, emotional moment, but it also met every expectation I had of ‘walking down the aisle’. It was such a meaningful part of the day, and the lead-up to actually becoming husband and wife. I wish I could do it again.”
For the reception, Bluewater Kings Band provided the entertainment. Their live music carried the evening and gave Madelynn and Peter the kind of relaxed, celebratory evening they wanted to spend with their family and friends.
