There’s a specific kind of magic that happens when you lean entirely into a “less is more” philosophy, and Lane and Roland’s day was the absolute proof. Working with Camino & Company, a standout Indianapolis wedding florist, they turned a classic tented reception into something that felt incredibly fresh. It wasn’t about over-the-top styling; it was more about the way the light hit those long tables and the sharp, modern contrast of black bistro chairs against the airy white drapery.

The aesthetic felt effortless but so intentional. We’re still thinking about those monochromatic, textured wedding flowers in Indianapolis that looked so crisp against the wedding party’s classic black-tie attire. To achieve that look, floral designer Maggie focused on a blend of tradition and edge.

“For Lane and Roland’s design, I wanted to capture the feeling of an overgrown funky spring garden,” Maggie says. “I mixed seasonal spring blooms with lush, luxe varieties alongside more bold elements like anthurium and trailing amaranthus that give the bouquet a complex personality. What makes it feel truly unique is the contrast between the two—the boldness of those luxe and funky elements playing against the fresh, seasonal ingredients and the loose, whimsical garden-style shape. That tension is exactly what made the design feel so special and so uniquely Lane.”

Even the three-tier cake sat like a minimalist sculpture in the middle of the room. Every detail seemed to have a purpose, from the clean-lined stationery to the way the sun caught the couple during their portraits in the tall grass.

As the evening went on, the space transformed into this glowing, intimate sanctuary. It was a beautiful reminder of why a refined palette works so well—there’s a quiet confidence in choosing whites and greens when the execution is this flawless. Lane and Roland really showed that you don’t need a million colors to make a massive statement. You just need a clear vision, a bit of mood, and an atmosphere that feels like home.
