As we celebrate the vibrant wedding scene in our community, we’re thrilled to introduce our very first Vows that Wow feature! This month, we’re excited to spotlight a wedding that stood out for its stunning details, heartfelt moments, and undeniable charm.

The Wedding Day

Hannah and Adam’s wedding on September 7, 2024, was a true fairy tale, filled with love, happy tears, and so much joy. Their story feels like fate—two families who have known each other for decades, with parents who were friends in high school, all coming together to celebrate this incredible moment.

The ceremony took place at the timeless and elegant Hotel Carmichael, where the couple shared their special day with 200 of their closest family and friends. Before the ceremony, Hannah and Adam signed the Ketubah, a Jewish marital contract affirming their mutual commitment to love, honor, and respect each other in marriage. Under a beautifully designed chuppah adorned with florals, they exchanged personally written vows—a moment they describe as one of the most meaningful of their lives. Their parents joined them under the chuppah, wrapping them in a Talit (prayer shawl) as a symbol of their families becoming one. The open-sided chuppah represented the welcoming home they will build together.

As part of the ceremony, seven blessings were recited, and the couple drank from a single cup of wine to signify their shared life ahead. Close friends offered heartfelt blessings and wishes before the ceremony concluded with Adam stepping on a glass—symbolizing life’s fragility and the bittersweet moments that come with it. Guests erupted in cheers of “Mazel Tov,” celebrating the couple’s new beginning.

Every detail, from the elegant floral arrangements to the warm glow of candlelight, reflected the couple’s joy and deep connection—a perfect start to their forever.

Their Favorite Moment

Reflecting on their wedding day, Hannah and Adam agree that exchanging their personally written vows stands out as one of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Though the ceremony lasted only about 30 minutes, the experience of sharing their heartfelt promises in front of their closest family and friends was unforgettable. Surrounded by love and support, the couple felt an overwhelming sense of joy and connection that will stay with them forever.

Hannah’s advice to other couples planning their wedding is simple yet essential: “Clear and constant communication with your wedding planner, vendors, and professional team is key! Most importantly, make sure you and your partner enjoy every minute of the planning process—it is fun but fleeting!”
