15 Years Later: Annabelle & Leo’s Indianapolis Wedding
Annabelle and Leo met in seventh grade in Indianapolis. Exactly 15 years later, they were back in their hometown getting married.
Their wedding weekend brought them to three familiar Indianapolis locations, with a few details inspired by the years they’d spent elsewhere. From a Ralph Lauren-inspired welcome party to a blue-and-white reception at Woodstock Club, the weekend was a mix of old favorites and pieces of the life they’ve built together.
Back Where It Started
The weekend began at Meridian Hills Country Club, where Annabelle and Leo first met. For their welcome party and rehearsal dinner, they went with a Ralph Lauren Americana feel: sunflowers, candelabras, denim, bandana details and bone-in ribeye steaks straight off the grill. Root beer floats rounded out the night.
It was a fun departure from the look of the wedding day, and a chance to bring everyone back to the place where their story started.
A Hometown Wedding at Woodstock Club
Annabelle and Leo married in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Luke Catholic Church before heading to Woodstock Club for the reception.
Cocktail hour took place on the lawn, where blue-and-white umbrellas dotted the grass and hydrangeas from Elsie’s Flower Shoppe complemented the setting. Guests were served Maine oysters on the half shell, a nod to the years the couple had spent living in Maine.
Inside, blue patterned linens, floral arrangements and candlelight set the scene for dinner. A cake by Cake Me Happy joined the reception details, while Burman Photography documented everything from the outdoor gathering to the dance floor later that night.
With guests traveling in for the weekend, InterContinental Indianapolis served as the couple’s accommodations, keeping everyone close to the festivities in downtown Indianapolis.
Fifteen Years to the Day
The date itself was no coincidence. Annabelle and Leo chose to marry exactly 15 years after they first met, bringing their families and friends back to Indianapolis for the occasion.
As the couple shared:
“Our wedding felt like a celebration of where we came from and the life we’ve built together.”
